Funds under NBHM Mission
All micro, small and medium enterprises governed by national bodies approve an amount of Rs.49.78 crore every year through KVIC. The amount is allocated for employment and income to rural youth, both men and women, to preserve the honey environment. The government encourages the standardization of beekeeping by allocating large funds. All honey keeping missions focus not only on the growth of beekeeping but also on creating 11,000 jobs every year.
Eligibility Criteria for NBHM Funding
- Checklist to consider for selection of beneficiary under the honey mission,
- The applicant must be an SC / ST / NE-State candidate.
- Only a valid Aadhaar card and applicants between 18 years and 55 years are eligible to apply under the mission.
- There will be only one character in the family, which will be provided with 10 bee boxes, 10 bee colonies, and a tool kit.
- Beekeepers already maintaining more than 10 bee colonies are not considered eligible.
- Preference will be given to trained candidates of KVIC / KVIB / NABARD / KVK (s) / Agriculture – Horticulture Board.
- Beneficiaries who are availing/availing benefits from any other government, the schemes will not be considered eligible.
- Beekeepers who fail to multiply their bee colonies from 10 to 18 in a year should surrender all their bee colonies, hives, and kits.
